Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme 2020-21

Ministry of Minority Affairs Government of India welcomes applications from the students belongs to class 1 to 10 of minority communities for Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities 2020-21. This scholarship is for energizing guardians of minority students to to help them to finance the school training of their kids and by supporting the endeavors of teaching their children.The Online execution of Pre Matric Scholarship, Post matric Scholarship  and Merit cum Means Based Scholarship will be done through the normal National Scholarship Portal at www.scholarships.gov.in

Applications under the Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme will be acknowledged only from that being applied online. It will be essential for the qualified candidates to give Aadhaar number, while applying for scholarships and in the event that an individual doesn’t have Aadhar one can give the details of alternate identification documents as stated in the Gazette Notification accessible on National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Benefits applicants will receueve from Pre Matric Scholarship 

➤Admission fee for class 6 to 10 (Hostellers and Day Scholars): INR 500 per annum

➤Tuition fee for class 6 to 10 (Hostellers and Day Scholars): INR 350 per month

➤Maintenance allowance for 10 months in an academic year (Day Scholars): INR 100 per month for class 1 to 5

➤Maintenance allowance for 10 months in an academic year (Hostellers): INR 600 per month for class 6 to 10

➤Maintenance allowance for 10 months in an academic year (Day Scholars): INR 100 per month for class 6 to 10

Eligibility Criteria for  Pre Matric Scholarship

Candidates must be in  following catogories in order to apply for Pre Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities 2020-21.

➤Must be studying in class 1 to 10

➤Must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous final examination

➤Must have a family income of not more than INR 1 lakh per annum from all sources

➤Must belong to the minority community (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians/Parsis)

 

Documents to be submitted for Pre Matric Scholarship

➤Residence Certificate

➤Copy of Aadhar Enrollment/Aadhar Card

➤Income certificate issued by a competent authority in the State/UT Government

➤Proof of bank account in the name of the student or joint account with mother/father

➤Self-certified community certificate by the student

➤Self-attested copy of previous academic mark sheet

 

Step by step instructions to Apply for Pre Matric Scholarship

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps –

➤Step 1: Visit the homepage of the National Scholarship Portal and click on ‘New Registration’.

➤Step 2: Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking and ‘Continue’.

➤Step 3: Select the state of domicile, scholarship category (Pre Matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), gender, write the applicant’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID.

➤Step 4: Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number)

➤Step 5: Select Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the ‘Register’ button.

➤Step 6: The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.

➤Step 7: Now, log in using OTP and fill the form.

➤Step 8: An application ID and password will be generated. Use that for future references.

Ps: The applicants are advised to apply online for the Pre Matric Scholarship through the website of National Scholarship Portal. The Scholarship will be provided to only two students of one Parent. A scholarship holder under this Scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the same course/class from any other agency/Department. The Students are advised to read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section available on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) homepage of the website for filling up of Online application and greater clarity.
