General Details Regarding Pre Matric Scholarship Kerala

Ministry of Minority Affairs invites applications for Pre matric (Minority) Scholarship for the year 2021-22. The minority community’s students such as from Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi from Class I to X are eligible to apply. However, only 2 children from a family with an annual income of up to Rs. 1 lakh are eligible for the scholarship, and they are required to have scored at least 50% in their last academic year. It’s better to ask the respective class teacher for the percentage of marks before submitting the application.

Pre Matric Scholarship Renewal & Fresh Application

For those newly enrolled students of this year must obtain a mark list from the old school before applying. Applicants who received a scholarship last year should apply for a Renewal. However, those who did not apply last year and did not get a scholarship should apply as a fresh applicant this year. New students joining the school this year should also apply as a fresh applicant even if you received a scholarship from a previous school last year, apply fresh this year.

Income Certificate for Kerala Pre Matric Scholarship

The income limit to apply is one lakh. All you have to do is make an income certificate in the name of the parent. If 2 children are applying for a scholarship, it is sufficient to produce an income certificate. A photocopy of each application should be kept. The income certificate is valid for one year. So it’s sufficient to have a certificate made for any other purpose within a year if you have that. Make sure the same income in the income certificate should be reflected in the online application.

After the application, a printout of all the online applications, photocopy of income certificate, copy of mark list, copy of bank passbook and copy of Aadhaar should be handed over to the school for school verification. Also make sure to write down the class and division of the child at the top of the printout. Newly enrolled students are required to submit a photocopy of their income certificate along with the printout and the mark list received from the old school. The application will be returned if there is any discrepancy between the income and the mark percentage during the school verification, along with the income certificate and mark list.
